Barbados
- Great introduction to the Caribbean.
- Beautiful, friendly island.
- Well developed but tastefully so and very geared to tourists.
- Excellent medical facilities. Lots to explore, easy driving.
- St James coast - lovely white sand beaches, calm seas. South and east coast are beautiful, but wilder and the sea rougher, so babygoes2 has recommended only hotels on West Coast.
- Great restaurants, from posh to chic to rustic.
- Good island for visiting in cheaper, lower season – May(and even June) is still relatively dry and not much hotter - so it’s a great island for taking advantage of off season offers.
