Why go to Aquitaine?
From the style of Biarritz to delightful fishing villages, Aquitaine has something to appeal to all tastes. A cosmopolitan blend of French and Spanish influences pervades the region, while the area is a particular favourite with watersports enthusiasts.

Babygoes2 recommends properties which are suitable for babies or toddlers for a variety of reasons (go to first stop). None of these properties however is 100% child-safe. All of the property descriptions are the opinion of BabyGoes2 and not the individual property owner or tour operator. Prices, while as accurate as possible, are for guidance only. Sleeps: |
|
2 – 12 people (+ cots + kids’ beds) in one large family house with pool |
| Location: |
|
Set in the quiet French village of Laluque and only 25 minutes from the beautiful Atlantic beaches, Libellule is a luxurious five bedroom house full of modern facilities and all the extras you could hope for on a French family holiday. Away from the busy tourist resorts, yet within 15 minutes of the amenities in the town of Dax, a holiday at Libellule gives you the best of all worlds. During the winter as well as the summer, the Pyrenees (1.5 hrs away) offer some of the best scenery in the world. Whether you are interested in the sun, sea, mountains, golf or French wine (or all of these!) then a holiday Libellule is the place to go. |
| Accommodation: |
|
This much loved and cared-for holiday home sleeps 12 plus three babies in cots, with a few additional children's beds if required.
The majority of the rooms are on the ground floor with a large newly converted loft ‘bunk’ room upstairs – suitable for all the kids! There is a large sitting room plus a newly fitted kitchen with all the mod cons needed. The four main bedrooms are all large (two double, one twin and one with a double bed plus bunk beds). There are three toilet/bath/shower rooms to cater for large groups, with what seems to be a bottomless hot water tank!
The best feature of the property has to be its large private pool, which has an alarm for use with small children around. The garden is large and fully enclosed. There is also a special section of the garden especially for small children, with a wendy house, sand pit and slide.
The huge outdoor veranda directly outside the kitchen provides the perfect shade during the summer for children to play safely and happily, and this area can be securely fenced off from the pool.
The house is owned by a family with two young children, who have been holidaying there since the children were born so it is perfectly set-up for families with babies and young children. It is very much a ‘home from home’ and the owners have gone to great lengths to make it the best possible destination for a happy and fun family holiday. |
