Enjoy space, nature, views, peace and quiet, right in the heart of the Ardèche. These four comfortable holiday cottages, 10 kms from Aubenas and a 15mins drive from the Gorges d'Ardèche, are part of a 15th century olive oil mill and beautifully restored to an exceptional standard. This small scale estate offers a 12x5 m outdoor swimming pool, beautiful and large garden, a little river running next to the estate with a private beach, pools for swimming, and much more.
Take a leisurely walk through cosy medieval villages and towns. Taste the local specialties at the farmers' market. Go shopping in Aubenas. Go horse or pony riding, fishing or mountain-biking. Visit some of the many caves, or for the more adventurous, go tree or rock climbing. Relax in our Finnish sauna with jacuzzi, lazily do nothing on our terraces at the spring water-filled swimming pool, or watch the sun set behind the hills while the coals glow in the barbecue on your private terrace. We also offer Tables d’Hôtes: bring your chair to the old linden tree at night to enjoy our homemade paella and sangria.

La Bergerie
Once a goat barn, now a comfortable holiday cottage. A large dining table with chairs and a barbecue await you under the fruit trees on the big enclosed terrace with views over the vineyard. The swimming pool with comfy deck chairs lies around the corner.
Linked to the living room is a big breakfast balcony with a view of the river. The modern kitchen is equipped with a grill oven and washing machine. The gîte has two cool bedrooms, a modern bathroom and a separate toilet. The cottage also has satellite tv and for the cooler months of the year central heating.
La Clède
Once a drying room for chestnuts, now a comfortable rural gîte. This restored stonewalled holiday cottage is freestanding and has a view over the valley with its vineyards. At the riverside is a big terrace with barbecue. Slightly higher is a partly covered breakfast terrace. The swimming pool is a 1 minute walk away. Inside you can find all the comforts of home, washing machine, tv, grill oven and central heating for winter months. The cottage has a living /dining room with an open kitchen, two cool bedrooms, a toilet and a modern bathroom.
L’Orangerie
An authentic Ardéchois cottage with a big terrace, a barbecue and views over the garden. On the lawn are various seating places and a big tree yields a pleasant shade. The swimming pool filled with spring water lies nearby.
The Orangerie has a big, Provençale-style living/dining room, a mezzanine and two big bedrooms, one of which is on the upper floor. The bathroom has a bath with shower. This cottage has all modern amenities like a tv, washing machine and a grill/oven.
Le Gîte du Moulin
The comfortable Gîte du Moulin is situated directly by the river in the lower part of the mill. The 70m2 terrace is partly covered, it has an enormous barbeque and there are various outside chairs and tables. The big lawn enjoys shade from various trees. The swimming pool with underwater lights and shower lies at the opposite side of the main building.
The cottage has a big living room with a tv and an open kitchen equipped with a grill oven, washing machine, etc. One bedroom and shower & toilet is in this part of the cottage. The second bedroom and a big bathroom & toilet has a separate entrance from the terrace. Both are equipped with heating for the cooler months of the year. |

When you arrive all beds are made and you are offered a home-bottled Merlot wine from our own vineyard, so your holiday can start straightaway! The details of cottages equipment are listed in the previous section. Bed linen, baby bedding and kitchen towels are included and changed once a week. Bath/swimming pool towels are available at a small surcharge.
The fenced 12x5 metre outdoor swimming pool is open from the end of April until mid October. There is a beautiful and large garden with fruit orchard which offers many shady and sunny spots, a little river running next to the estate with a private beach and pools for swimming and playing. Watch your children enjoy themselves in the childrens playground. Relax in our jacuzzi and sauna. Make your own pizzas in our wood-fired pizza oven or watch them being prepared. Play table tennis with your kids. Discover the area on our rental mountain bikes. Enjoy the wines from our own vineyard when sitting around your own cottage barbecue. We also offer a Table d'Hôte.
Each cottage contains an extensive guide book with a list of what to see and what to do locally. The owners constantly renew this and are of course happy to provide you with all information that you may require.
If the grandparents would like to come too, the owners offer a bed-and-breakfast option in the main house. |

Smaller children can enjoy themselves in the small playground with swing, slide, sandpit, etc. There are toys for ages up to ten for both in and outdoor use. The pool area is fully fenced. There's table tennis, and most of all lots of space to explore: within the garden, next to the river, or close to the vineyard. If your children love animals they can enjoy feeding the chickens and guinea pigs. High chairs, baby cots and baby baths are available :on request. Baby sitting is available by prior arrangement. The 'Kids' page on the owners' website has all details. If you have special requests, please inform the owners via the Contact or Reservations form on the website and they will be happy to facilitate these. |

Travel by air: airports are within a 2 to 2.5hrs drive: Montpellier, Nîmes, Avignon, Marseille, Grenoble and Lyon.
Travel by car: approx 6 hrs from Paris by A6 and A7, about 9.5 hrs from Calais, about 10.5 hrs drive from the Netherlands. |

In high season bookings run from Saturday to Saturday with a minimum of two weeks. Outside high season and school holidays bookings may start and end on different days as agreed with the owners. Prices range from 395euros in low season to 950euros in high season. The owners' website has all information, including booking details. No pets allowed and no smoking inside the gîtes. There are also last minute offers. Please check the website for prices and conditions. |
