Superbly situated on a 20-acre riverside site, Jardins de Saint Benoît is a a magnificent vineyard and spa estate: collection of townhouses (no pools) and villas with private pools, set in glorious Languedoc countryside in the heart of the Corbières region of the Languedoc. With its pedestrianised streets, squares and fountains, the estate is an extension of the picturesque village of St Laurent de Cabrerisse. There’s a good kids club, plenty for children to do, an excellent spa, shared pool,restaurant, vineyard - and the resorts joins seamlessly to the local village - so all its shops, restaurants and cafes are within easy walking distance. Close to both beaches (30mins) and the fascinating towns of Carcassonne (30 mins) narbonne, Beziers and Perpignan – this luxury resort offers a very high level of flexibility combined with excellent facilities and has something for everyone - highly recommended.
Accommodation: The resort offers with either village houses with garden, or larger villas (maisons vigneronnes) sleeping from 4 to 10 with gardens and private pools. All the accommodation is both stylish and of a very high standard. Featuring traditional Mediterranean façades with wooden shutters, the houses boast natural lime washed walls and high ceilings with exposed wooden beams in the bedrooms.To the rear, floor-to-ceiling doors open out to the gardens beyond, while the sunny aspect ensures plenty of sunlight with just the right amount of shade!
Interiors at Les Jardins de Saint Benoît are styled to provide traditional French elegance with a modern twist. Wood, iron-work, lime washes and traditional textiles are employed throughout. Location: Le Chemin is a terrace of beautifully restored and superbly equipped stone cottages, each with its own private garden or terrace, located in the tiny rural hamlet of Montengrand. Only five minutes from the picturesque, mediaeval market town of Mirepoix, with it’s bustling weekly markets and numerous child friendly pavement cafés and restaurants. Set in 30 acres of pasture, wildflower meadows and woodland the domain boasts an exquisite heated swimming pool with views to savour, space to roam, a large organic vegetable patch for guests to plunder, a boat to float on nearby Lac Montbel, as well as resident ponies, tame sheep and other animals to enjoy.

Whilst Montengrand is the perfect place to wind down and enjoy the slower pace of life in this gloriously unspoilt region, there are also a huge number of activities on offer locally. From walking, cycling and tennis, sailing, canoeing, tree top adventures and go-karting, horse riding and river and lake swimming, as well as Cathar strongholds, the extraordinary La Cité at Carcassonne (40 mins)and the mysteries of Rennes le Chateau to explore. Just 1hour south- east of Toulouse, Montengrand is perfectly located for exploring the riches of the Languedoc and the Midi-Pyrenees. 15 minutes from Lac Montbel and approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes from the nearest Mediterranean beaches at Narbonne.
Accommodation: The cottages have been lovingly restored, using traditional materials, to provide comfortable and stylish holiday retreats. Every property layout is unique, but each offers an open plan living space, which opens onto a private, fenced and gated, south facing garden or terrace equipped with garden furniture, a gas barbeque and some much-needed shade. The custom built kitchen areas all feature gas hobs, electric ovens, microwaves, fridge freezers, dishwashers and washing machines. All of the cottages have a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, whilst additional beds for children are available in some of the properties via a large mezzanine space, bunk-beds or pull out beds.
Facilities: The mild climate makes this a perfect destination from May through to late October and attention to detail means that visitors will find pretty much everything that a parent travelling with children would like to find, including a fenced pool area with the added security of a rigid, key operated cover to close the surface when not in use. The heated pool also features a large summer kitchen with dishwasher and fridge/freezer and gas barbeque.

Parents needs feature high on the agenda with a roster of local English speaking baby sitters, Egyptian cotton bed linen, bath robes, bath towels, plus towels for poolside use, a pre-arrival grocery shopping service, daily bread and croissant delivery service, a mid-week cleaning service and some fantastic local restaurants and vineyards to enjoy!

Le Sarrail specialises in providing both parents and children with the perfect holiday. If you can bear to tear yourself away from Le Sarrail for longer there is so much to discover nearby; it's less than an hour from both the beautiful wide sandy beaches of the Mediterranean with its quaint fishing towns and the Pyrenean ski slopes. Only 20 minutes from the property you'll find Lake Cavayère (otherwise known as 'Carcassonne plage') with it's stunning scenery & stroller-friendly walks, sandy beach and little boats is only 20 minutes and for the more active there's 'Acro Branch' (for kids of all ages & adults) where you literally swing from the trees or there's the Australia Park, this is always a memorable day out for the kids. Forty minutes drive will find you in the foothills of the Pyrenées perfect for picnics with its breaktaking gorges, canoeing, rafting, climbing, hiking, the 'Wolf Park', Dinosaur Museum or just take in the scenery the many stunning mountain towns & villages. Staying closer to home, the tree-lined canal du midi is only 10 minutes from the property and is the perfect shady place to go on a hot day with little ones, whether you hire a little boat or cycle along the footpath, it's a memorable experience.
Accommodation: Each house is indvididually designed, but all have the same airy and relaxed and feel.
The ground floor areas are light, spacious and semi-open plan with fully equipped kitchen, dining area with table & seating and a comfortable lounge area with flat screen TV, DVD player & wood burning stove. All the houses have been meticulously thought out, and all have high quality fully equipped kitchens, 5 ring gas stove, dishwasher, giant fridge-freezer, microwave, washine machine and a private furnished terrace with gas BBQ. Upstairs, the master bedrooms have comfortable kingsize beds and ensuite facilities. Twin bedded, single and bunkbed rooms share a family bathroom (with tub) and all towels (including pool towels) and hairdryers are provided.

Maison Citron & Maison Figue can inter-connect if required on the ground floor level and the divison between the two terraces can be folded back. The two houses would then sleep 11 - ideal for larger groups or two families holidaying together.
Facilities: The pool area shared by the houses is fenced with a child-proof gate, for extra peace of mind and security the pool has an electronically operated safety cover. It is heated from Easter through to November to a temperature perfect for babies and toddlers, there also are plenty of inflatables for use in the pool as well as more than enough sunbeds to lounge on.

The shady 1000 sq ft barn is always popular with adults and kids alike. Crammed with ride-ons, baby-foot and other games the kids can make friends, while parents can chill out, sip a cold drink and gaze at the view.

Le Sarrail prides itself on service, offering to arrange just about anything you could want; delicious organic French meals delivered to your door, on-site massage, reflexology & yoga, wine-tasting, baby-sitting aswell as bike hire, flying over the Pyrénees' cathar castles, health & fitness training, skiing lessons – the list is endless.

The main attractions being bouncing on the 14 trampoline (with security net), the log cabin stuffed with toys, swings (including baby swing), ride-ons, babminton, petanque, of course the pool with its inflatables but most of all the three freindly cats and one very greedy dog!

A selection of books, games, pens & paper & DVD's can also be found in each house aswell as kids cookbook for a bit of messy entertainment!

For little ones, there's no need to bring all the baby paraphanalia, everthing can be provided; stairgates, cot, bedguard, highchair, booster seat, lightweight pushchair, baby-sling, steriliser, hand blender, rocker chair, walker, baby playmat, baby bath, non-slip bath mat, toddler stools, changing mat, blackout curtains, matress protector, nightlights, UV tent for pool or beach use, plastic crockery, cutlery & sippy cup, & potty – if they've forgotton anything let them know and they will do their best to get it for you!
