Why go to Zakynthos?

Daphnes Villas are located in Porto Roma on the beautiful Vasilikos peninsula in Zakynthos (Zante) Greece. Daphnes consists of ten self-catered cottages for 2-7 in large, peaceful, safe and child friendly grounds. They are owned and run by a Greek-Swedish family, fluent in English who are always at hand for information and help. The garden is enclosed and set away from the little road, which leads down to Porto Roma beach, a picturesque quiet little beach, partly sandy and partly with pebbles, which is a 3 minute walk away. The lovely Gerakas turtle-nesting beach is close by, which is a large sandy sheltered beach. There is a mini market, four tavernas and a small hotel with swimming pool (Daphne’s guests are welcome to use)) within a 5-minute walk. |

The cottages are all different in layout. They are well equipped with either kitchenette or full kitchen. The smallest ones are semi-detached ground floor apartments with large covered terraces and have 1 bedroom with double bed or twin beds and space for extra children’s bed or cot, a bathroom with shower and a separate kitchenette with 2 ringed cooker, fridge, kettle, coffeemaker and toaster. Suitable for light cooking. The 2-bedroom cottages have the same equipment but one more bedroom and space for 4-5 people. The larger villas are detached family houses with large fully equipped kitchen and sitting area and space for up to 7 people and cot. All the cottages have large furnished covered terraces which guests use as extra living rooms. There is a dining table, coffee table, hammock and sunbeds on all the terraces and in each private garden area. In the main garden there is a bbq and at the entrance there is a car and bike parking area. Laundry and shopping service is available as well as baby sitting during evenings. Additional cleaning (every day instead of regular every 3 days) can be arranged at small extra cost. |

There is a huge 20.000 sq. metres common garden with lots of space for playing. The children’s playground has a sand pit, swings, trees, ropes and tires for climbing, and a table for painting etc. High chairs, cots, an extra pram and any thing babies and children might need is available and can be ordered if not on their standard equipment list. The reception includes a room with library with books, magazines and games for all ages, colours and paper for drawing and painting. Babysitting available on request (evenings only) |

3.5 hr flight from the UK. Transfer time 25 mins. Zakynthos town and harbour with Ferries to Greece mainland and Italy 20 mins. Local buses to other beaches and main town twice a day in low season and 4 times a day June-September. Airport transfers for families with babies can be arranged. Taxis at the airport, 25 minutes ride and cost 22 Euro. |

Prices range between 17-32 Euros per night per person depending on accommodation and season. Prices include cleaning every 3 days, linen changes every day, a/c, safe, hot water, parking, common bicycles, and taxes. VISA and MasterCard credit cards accepted. |
