Why House Parties?
House Parties, family celebrations or groups.Gathering together a group of your nearest and dearest, whether for a special celebration or simply to enjoy quality time in each other's company, often makes for the most memorable holidays.
If you want to holiday with a large group you'll have all sorts of special requirements however. You'll definitely need a large property, but you might want privacy and flexibility for families within it, or you may want everyone together in one place. You might want the lap of luxury, or you might prefer simple and rustic. You may want to stay close to home or travel far away for the exotic holiday of a lifetime. Perhaps you'd like a cook and some childcare?
We've gathered together a selection of properties which are perfect for large groups or celebrations, but which still fulfil the babygoes criteria for baby/child friendliness. They range from manor houses in the UK, to exquisite restored estates in Tuscany to luxurious villas in the Caribbean.
We hope you'll find what you need. If you can't just let us know what you're looking for and we'll do our best to help. Just click here . |
Babygoes2 recommends properties which are suitable for babies or toddlers for a variety of reasons (go to first stop). None of these properties however is 100% child-safe. All of the property descriptions are the opinion of BabyGoes2 and not the individual property owner or tour operator. Prices, while as accurate as possible, are for guidance only. Check late deals and members offers for any price reductions or offers.

Set within a two minute walk from Windermere Golf Club, and a two mile walk into Bowness-on-Windermere
and the shores of Lake Windermere. |
|
Accommodation: |
|
The accommodation can sleep
16 and there are 2 double sofa beds within
the two lounge areas allowing for up to 20
(please note one of these lounges is not
enclosed) and briefly comprises: an entrance
porch leading into an impressive entrance
hall; here you have a reception room with
warming woodburner (fuel is not provided) and superb views complete with state of the art games including Wii & X-Box; the drawing room is a place to spread out and recharge those batteries after a day on the fells with a contemporary Regal feeling at all times & 48" of LCD to enjoy your favourite movie. The dining room which has seating for 16 is a place to gather all together, enjoy fine dining and good wine with conversation late into the night. The breakfast kitchen, with centre island which can seat 4 people if required, only really needs a butler or two but we are sorry these are not included! The Aga is the heart of the kitchen of course and off the kitchen is a pantry, (fit for Nigella herself), and laundry; off the kitchen is access to a pretty courtyard. A perfect 'boot room' is found here as well as an invigorating shower room. On the ground floor is the luxurious wet room, perfect for a tantalizing hosing after a long day in our dreamy scenery. The first floor has an array of bedrooms, most with stunning views and two with en-suite bathrooms, there is a separate contemporary wing containing two king size bedrooms and a king size open gallery bedroom and a luxury shower room. There is another bathroom on this level with roll top bath and all the elegant splendor you expect. A separate staircase leads to two further bedrooms on the contemporary top floor (we do not recommend these rooms for the elderley or infirm) - we will let you choose where all will stay on arrival and for those of you who like 'hide & seek' this place is perfect. Outside the 2 acre gardens and grounds are a real delight and with many places to escape and play complete with summer house and children's tree ladder and swing. This description could go on and on but space has run out - why not come and taste for yourselves? |

Something quite different - an entirely informal hotel, with the atmosphere of a house party - the hosts being the owners, Morag and Kevin and their 3 children. Delicious meals are provided, you help yourself to drinks and coffee, children have lots to do and their own meal times. Morag and Kevin take care of everything for you - from making your breakfast, to planning your sightseeing, to taking you to the doctor if you need it. It's a beautiful place to spend a break both relaxing and enjoying being with your child/ren. It has all the benefits of self catering without the stress of the actual catering, and all the benefits of a hotel without the formality. |
