Truly luxurious, the Grand Hotel Cala Rossa manages to combine sophistication with simplicity and a warm atmosphere. Set on a pine fringed white sand beach overlooking a bright turquoise sea, the hotel is only a few minutes drive from Porto Vecchio, all facilities, and only 40 mins drive from Bonifacio and from the magnificent mountains and villages behind Porto Vecchio. The hotel (if you can tear yourself away from it) is in the perfect position to make the most of everything Corsica has to offer. |

The stunning scenery is reflected in the décor – cool whites, blues, greens - with plenty of local paintings and sea-art. The rooms are all air-conditioned with bathrooms, TV, telephone, satellite TV, mini bar and safe. The size, view and terrace provision varies, but Simply offers examples of all types. Tournesol for example, has a terrace and direct beach access.
Despite the sophistication it’s a very child-friendly place, and even has some family rooms. Other rooms can easily accommodate a cot or a child’s bed. No lift though, and 3 floors, so choose carefully to avoid exhaustion! There’s stylish decking leading out from the gardens to the clean, clean beach complete with comfy loungers and parasols. The restaurant is excellent, and dining is either inside or al fresco. The hotel has an excellent wine cellar and an award winning sommelier. Dinner is also an excuse to dress up! Children have their own supper before 8 o’clock. The hotel has a wide range of facilities and gold is only 40 mins drive away near Bonifacio. |
