Why go to Barbados?
- Great introduction to the Caribbean. Beautiful, friendly island. Well-developed but tastefully so, and very geared to tourists.
- Safe with excellent medical facilities.
- St James coast boasts lovely white sand beaches and calm seas.
- South and east coast are beautiful, but wilder and the sea rougher, so Babygoes2 has recommended only hotels on West Coast.
- Lots to explore, easy driving. Easy to visit Grenadines for day trip for taste of undeveloped Caribbean.
- Plenty of cricket of course, if that's your thing!
- Great restaurants, from posh to chic to rustic.
- Good island for visiting off season – May (and even June) is still
- relatively dry and not much hotter - so it’s a great island for taking advantage of off-season offers.
