• Small, easy to get around. No trip takes more than an hour.
• Huge variety of beautiful, sheltered beaches, from tiny coves to sweeping bays.
• Villages with harbours, restaurants etc – Fornells prettiest.
• Rolling countryside, spectacular cliffs.
• Lovely monastery on top of hightest peak - Monte Toro.
• Interesting towns, plenty of restaurants, shops and
  medical facilities.
• Excellent shoe shops and great value leather markets.
• Very unhurried and relaxed pace of life.

Things to think about:

• It is quite small, so after 2 weeks (especially if you have bad weather), you can soon run out of things to see or do
• It’s not undeveloped, so pick carefully to avoid "chips with everything" syndrome
• It is very much a family place, so if you don’t want to feel as though you’ve joined the ranks of ‘parents’, or you want a bit of nightlife because you’ve got some babysitting arranged, then you might want to think again
