• So much to do and see: from the stone-age settlements near the oasis at Kebili to the space-age sets of Star Wars (parts of which were filmed at Matmata). Roman ruins at Carthage and El-Jem
• Beautiful beaches particularly on North Coast.
• Tourism remains pleasantly low-key for most part, but you want lively you can find that too.
• Good transport network for getting around

Things to think about:

• June to August can be unbearably hot and hotel rates higher with everywhere very crowded with foreign visitors
• Food can be a bit limited in range

Best time to visit: March to June (July to Aug very hot though, Jan and February cool and rainy)
