Cala Rossa Hotel
Can't really overstate how superb this hotel is - setting is beautiful, with a private beach and extensive gardens. Rooms are stunning and very original - all organic shapes and subtle lighting. We didn't have kids when we went, but it was obvious that the childcare facilities were excellent and the hotel genuinely welcoming of children. Food is superlative - for once living up to the brochure puff - and I can understand why gastronomes come far and wide to sample it. A separate sitting for parents with kids' sitting meant that childless diners weren't pestered by squealling sproggs. Not that they all squeal....quite the most magnificent selection of desserts I have ever seen collected in a single place. Handy for Bonifacio and daytrips into the mountains - which is good, because like all luxury hotels, you start to go mad after a few days and need to escape for a while. Before hitting that dining room again....
