OUTSTANDING! We couldn't have been happier with the 2 weeks we've just spent at La Dolce. The accommodation is superb and probably the best self-catering we've stayed in anywhere. Greg and Sophia's attention to detail is excellent and the gites are equipped with everything you would expect to find in your own home. We arrived with a car-load of kitchen equipment (from bitter experience of other self-catering holiday) and childrens' toys. All of it remained packed and unused! You could just turn up with a small holdall and stay a month! The laundry room with great to have with 2 washers, dryer, irons etc. The play room was worth it's weight in gold. We've stayed in 5 star hotels less well equipped than this. The setting is beautiful in a small dell with the pool at the bottom of the lawn in front of the gites and climbing frames off to one side in the shady woods (perfect when the sun gets up in the late afternoon). The pool area was very well maintained and safe. We were a bit nervous about the salt-water treatment, but it was wonderful. No chlorine to irritate the little ones' eyes and you would never have known it was salt. I would give La Dolce 10/10 and it exceeded our expectations which were high anyway given other peoples' recommendations. Go if you can! We'll certainly be back. ps we've stayed in Mousses (Lefkas) a few times which was excellent, but La Dolce trumps it without doubt in terms of location, activities in the area, quality of accommodation. The only advantage of Mousses is the nursery obviously but as our children get older that will become less important anyway.
