We have stayed in many gites over the past 9 yrs and in our opinion this is by far the best - from cleanliness to the quality of information provided and including attention to detail and your helpfulness. You have obviously found a niche in the market with regard to the child friendly approach and you fulfil it very well with the available facilities all exceeding our expectations. Thank you.
Rickwood Family. June 2007.
This was our first holiday with our new family, with our girls aged 2.5 and 3 mths. Everything has been thought of to make our holiday as relaxed as possible with such young children. All equipment has been provided, right down to monitors and baby bath seat. The best things were the outside lawn area, right infront of the gites where Emily could run out first thing in the morning and play on the swings, and meet the other children. It was so close and safe that we didn't feel we needed to stand over her while she played. Best of all was the heated toddler pool, as warm as a bath which kept Emily and Daddy occupied almost all day. We stayed in Grenier which we really liked. Its tucked in the corner which meant if we wanted a quiet evening meal outside we could. The gate wasn't a problem, its rarely used and always closed immediately if it is. We loved the community spirit. The lawn was where everyone met and chatted while the children played. Emily was in and out of the other gites, as were other children in ours and no one minds. The bbq was a great evening to get to know everyone and all the children loved Wendys Teddy Bears Picnic. The area is so pretty. I don't think the web site can ever do it justice. We loved Chris' wine tasting evening, in its beautiful setting on the terrace overlooking the sunset, tasting wine and listening to Chris - idyllic. I can honestly say that this holiday was everything I had hoped for as a first family holiday with our toddler and new baby. Chris and wendy are perfect hosts and had thought of everything to make it as relaxed as possible . the children loved it and we loved it. I will be telling my friends but no one else, we don't want it to be fully booked when we try to come back !

It's seldom that you can say that a holiday equally caters for children and parents too. La Grange du Moulin really does. Not only is the gite environment set up with child care, safety and security as a priority but there is an ambience of a warm community that has been established by Chris and wendy that makes you feel instantly welcome. Their personal touches continue through the holiday with vine walks, sea food evenings, barbecues and on hand advice about the local shops, restaurants and environment showing that Chris and Wendy are committed to providing a really relaxing and fun experience for the whole family. Our friends recommended Grange du Moulin saying that they were returning for a second visit and we can see why. At the end of our two weeks. our son had made many new friends, including Thomas and Benjamin and he was exhausted from so much good play. We on the other hand were, for the first time after a family holiday, rested, relaxed and leaving behind books that we had actually managed to finish ! We could not have bettered our holiday, thank you from all three of us !

With a two 'angels' under two and a half we expected to have the same mayhem away from home. Instead we found wonderful accommodation with everything thought of: - childproofing and equipment - indoor and outdoor toys including mini tractors which Emily adored - a farm store with such wonderful produce that my budding 'Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall' was in his element - many happy hours 'helping' farmer Chris feed the animals ( and watching a shy child grow in confidence) - gourmet dining in the farmhouse with baby monitors in action for peace of mind. Thank you to Chris and Tracey for a wonderful pampering holiday far nicer than home from home!

We've just come home from the best holiday we've had in a long time, staying two wks in Fleurie . The accomodation was excellent with everything that we needed and Wendy and Chris were always available for advice or tips about the local area. The outside play area is fantastic and extremely well maintained, as is the pool area. There is a wonderfully relaxed and 'neighbourly' atmosphere and the activities arranged (such as the vine walk, wine tasting, bbq and teddy bears picnic) were all brilliant. There are many places to visit within a 30mins drive, plenty to fill a 2wk holiday. Only wish that we were still there ! (children 4yrs and 1 yr)

We loved everything about this holiday ! Two weeks gave us plenty of time to relax at the gite and there was so much on site that we were all more than happy to spend the day here. We really enjoyed bbq night - it was nice to have a 'night out' and meet new people and Chris an Wendy make you feel very welcome. We had lots of days out but the kids (5yrs and 2yrs)were happiest pottering around at the gite with new friends, swimming and relaxing.

This is the holiday holy grail for parents - you really can enjoy a glass of wine while the children play happily. The best and most relaxed family holiday we've had yet. The boys had the time of their lives and will be(4yrs & 1yr) very sad to leave. The garden and pool are perfect for young children and a lovely safe environment to enjoy with all the new playmates they met.
