We have just spent a week at La Manga. We stayed in the Bellaluz appartments. I would recommend the resort for those with young children. The restaurants and facilities are very child-friendly (high chairs and baby menues available - not always chips and nuggets either!). Most pools have a shallow end or a baby pool. Adults can take advantage of the golf, tennis and a host of other activities as there is child-care available. We did not use the creche but it seemed very professional. There is not a huge range of restaurants but those that we tried were good, if a bit pricey. Downside for parents with prams: The resort is built into a hillside so there are a lot of steps and slopes everywhere. The resort is quite spread out and the beach is a drive-away so a hire car is more or less essential. The resort has character and is a step up from the sprawling appartment blocks on the Spanish coast. It is,however, largely inhabited by English people and is,therefore not really authentic Spain. That said, as our children (2 and 3 months) are too small to go sightseeing, we found this was the perfect solution for a family holiday!
