What a fantastic place! If you want a few hassle-free nights away in a lovely setting with loads to do for kiddies, then Moonfleet is great. We went with our 2yr-old son and he loved every minute of it. We occupied him in the pool, the huge games room (with life-size jenga, ping-pong, tennis, video games, TV room,etc.), the creche (where parents are welcome to stay with the child), and outdoor play (sanpit, climbing frame, etc.). You can even book the resident dog, 'Spicer' for 30 min. walks along the lovely lagoon. The ever-present staff were excellent-very attentive and friendly to our son. The food for kids was very good-not just processed nuggets and chips, but lots of healthy options as well (and plenty of it!). The food for parents in the main restaurant was very good, although a little rich and heavy if you're waiting to eat until after the children are in bed. We would definitely consider a return visit.

We spent a successful 9 nights here at the end of August 2003 with our 16
month old daughter. Lovely location away from the madding crowd, very safe
and lots to entertain children of all ages, with good facilities for
parents. Food, service and staff were excellent (inc baby listening) and
thoroughly recommended. The whole ambience is very relaxed, the decor &
furnishings are a bit worn but in a comfy, homely way - nice not to worry if
a small someone knocks an antique over ! We will go back again - there was
lots to do and the location was great for days out.
