We spent 10 nights at Plantation beach villas at the end of March with our 1 year old and 4 year old girls. Tobago is charming, and still very peaceful and friendly, and reall has avoided high rise tourist development Our stay was fantastic, the villa lived up to the brouchure, very spacious, well equiped, wonderful cool verandha, and very peaceful. The combination of pool and beach suited the kids really well, and it was ideal to get up in the morning, have a swim in the sea, and breakfast on the verandah without even thinking about getting in the car. The daily maid service was bliss, and took all the hassle out of self catering. Her coooking was so good (local food), and reasonable that we gave up cooking our selves, except bbq locally caught fish. There seemed to be endless staff to help, all of whom were great with the kids, and made life very relaxed and we had no worries about security. I would highly recommend if you want to avoid the formalities and constraints of big hotels, but as parents want a child friendly environment and a real rest. And if you tire of chilling out at the cocktail bar, masses to quiet beaches, and rain forest to explore in the north of the island.
