We had a great holiday at the Residence. Fantastic beach, lovely rooms, good food. The service was sometimes a bit slow and children's food is no longer free.... All in all though a very enjoyable holiday.

We had a fantastic holiday. The hotel was everything we'd hoped for: great
location, excellent food, lovely gardens and extremely efficient but friendly staff.
We had two adjoining rooms, on the ground floor, near the pools, which were
just fine. Jessica (the baby) spent her mornings with Denise, the local
nanny the hotel provided. We would give her her lunch and Denise would then
return for the afternoon and look after both children while they slept and
then bring them down to the beach or take them to kids club to play out of
the sun for a while. She would also baby-sit in the evening while we went
out for dinner. So we were able to have a rest and spend time together
while the kids were in safe hands. The Spa was lovely - great massage!
We would definitely return.

The Residence in Mauritius was absolutely wonderful. Fantastic kids club, great babysitters for my youngest (who could attend the kids club and take part in all activities, but with a babysitter to give her that extra under-3 care); great spa, fitness facilities and classes (yoga, tai chi, etc.) and an all-round amazing place to spend a fortnight. The service was superb, all meals for under-3's are free and the children's milk was delivered to the room each evening on a silver tray! Absolutely no request, however minor or bizarre, was too much trouble, and the accommodation and hotel surroundings/facilities are extremely beautiful and tasteful. I felt truly pampered, and secretly rather pleased that my children couldn't be dragged away from the kids club each evening until the very last activity was over!
I don't usually make a habit of doing the same holiday twice, but I would definitely consider going back to the Residence next year.
