Highly recommended. We're just back from a four night stay there, which was
great fun and incredibly relaxing. The Grange has the atmosphere of a
private house, rather than hotel. The staff are very friendly and the
playroom seemed popular with all the children. The food was great for adults
and children alike.

We've just returned from a 2 night break at Woolley Grange with our 3 year old and 9 month old. All had a wonderful time, helped by good weather so were able to make full use of the outdoor pool, croquet, swings etc. The staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming to children and adults alike. We were provided with sterilizer, fridge etc - all equipment looked new/very clean. There was a huge range of well maintained toys and equipment in the Woolley Bears Den which kept the children entertained. We hired a babysitter for both nights - this worked well as the children had already met Lucy in the Den where she was a member of staff. The hotel has a comfortable rather than luxurious feel, but it was refreshing not to have the usual hotel standard chintzy furnishings and box shape rooms. Woolley Grange has an endearingly distinctive quirky character and a relaxed ambience. The food is good, but not "historic"! Overall we felt the rate was maybe a little pricey, but Woolley Grange is a wonderful place to spend time and spoil yourselves. Would definitely recommend, and hopefully return ourselves one day.
